HoO Recipes | Rose Cardamom Chia.jpg

Both rose and cardamom are fragrant and cooling in nature. Paired up with chia seeds, this breakfast/snack/dessert is a nutrient-dense and aromatic option. Perfect for pitta dosha in times of excess heat, or for any dosha in the summer months.

ingredients

  • 2 tbsp chia seeds

  • 1 tbsp your choice yogurt (I typically use greek-style almond yogurt)

  • 1 cup your choice milk (I typically use coconut milk)

  • 1 tsp cardamom

  • 1 tsp cinnamon

  • 1 tbsp rose water

  • 1 tbsp maple syrup

  • For serving, dried rose petals (culinary-grade), fresh fruit, granola, nut butters, etc.

instructions

  1. Pour chia seeds into medium-size mixing bowl

  2. Add your choice yogurt and milk

  3. Add spices, rose water, and maple syrup

  4. Whisk mixture with a fork

  5. Transfer to a container with a cover (I like to use Weck Jars) and place in fridge for a minimum of 2 hours, but ideally, overnight

  6. Take out of the fridge, add desired toppings
